HOT SHOTHEATING OIL TREATMENT HOT SHOT is a multifunctional heating oil additive formulated to reduce and/or eliminate many common problems associated with burning heating oil.HOT SHOT totally disperses water. All heating oil contains water and this is the most common contaminant. Water causes fuel line freeze-ups and premature failure of wear-related parts including fuel pumps and nozzles. Water also leads to the formation of slime, sludge, and rust, which can plug filters, nozzles, and strainers. HOT Shot will eliminate water and the formation of these problems. Heating oil lubricity is a major concern because of low sulfur heating oil. Low sulfur heating oil contains significantly less lubricity than higher sulfur oils. As a result, metal components in the furnace are susceptible to premature failure. HOT SHOT will increase fuel system lubricity. Increased lubricity protects against premature failure of furnace system components including fuel pumps and nozzles by forming a protective layer on metal surfaces. HOT SHOT improves the cold temperature operability limit of heating oil by modifying the size and shape of wax crystals that form as the oil is cooled below its cloud point. The cloud point is the temperature at which wax crystals in heating oil begin to form and the oil goes from a clear appearance to a cloudy appearance. HOT SHOT will reduce the pour point of heating oil. The pour point is the temperature at which heating oil will no longer flow. HOT SHOT contains a detergent additive that will increase furnace power and fuel efficiency by improving oil combustion. Over time, burner nozzles develop carbon deposits, gums, and varnishes that plug the critical close tolerances of the heating oil system retarding oil combustion. Furnace power and efficiency can suffer from even extremely small deposits. HOT SHOT will clean and remove these deposits from burner nozzles maximizing oil efficiency and combustion and providing for a uniform spray pattern. HOT SHOT will reduce particulate emissions and black smoke by improving oil combustion. Particulate emissions and black smoke result from improper combustion of heating fuel. PERFORMANCE FEATURES
DIRECTIONS For Regular Preventative Maintenance - Use 16 ounces for every 275 gallons of heating oil. Pour directly into tank before filling. To Control Waxing and Gelling - Use 32 ounces for every 275 gallons of heating oil. Pour directly into tank before filling.
